I wouldn't recommend it though, because in the picture, your car will likely cost $3,500 (Cheapest) for the estimate. All out Estimate would be in the 5-6k as in replacements of everything, Body painted matching color and etc...
If the insurance pay for you, and it wasn't you on the insurance, you could ask your dad to take the hit for you, and his insurance won't be raised up much.
Now, it would be 10x more expensive if the insurance knows it was you who operated the car....can you imagine their reactions ?

Well the car is insured under my uncle's insurance, he lives in conneticut. so he told them that i just borrowed the car for the day. so i'm hoping it all works out. The insurance knows i was driving , insurance tow truck is coming for the car in about an hour , i just want this all to go by , and i know , I'll make sure i pay out whatever is the increase on the insurance once its renewed. I'm not worried about the car too much , because i trust my mechanic , I'm more worried about how much higher the premium will be, but regardless i'll make sure i am responsible for that.
