Nothing is more important than appropriate tires for the conditions, they are a minor investment when you consider one insurance deductible and rate hike more than covers their cost let alone potentially avoiding injury to yourself or others. |
This is why I swapped out the OEM Primacy tires for Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires when I bought the car. Compare the PSS tires to the stock on Tirerack.com and you will be amazed at the difference. My PSS tires stick to the road like glue.
