So I just bought a Samsung Tab Pro 8.4", but haven't purchased a mount yet as I am still trying to determine the best place to mount it. I only intend to use it mounted when I am auto crossing, tracking, cruising certain twisty roads very spiritedly, or data logging. In my daily driving, it will not be used. I was thinking about getting a universal 8-10" suction cup mount and mounting it on my left side of the dash, in portrait orientation, blocking the left AC vent. It would also be convenient if it was mounted in front of the head unit and AC controls, but I am concerned about my hand potentially slipping off the shift knob and punching my tablet. Most people seem to have used the 7" nexus tablet with pretty good success, the larger size makes it a bit of a tight fit. Any suggestions before I go spend more money?
