ok i just searched TTE and TF300 and yeah they are better than the POS ones we got here in australia
but jdm gets a whole smorgasbord of cars compared to the rest of the world

Anyways, US ver will be RWD. I'm betting that it's gonna have same bolt patter as current STI block. There's no benefit for Subaru to change the bolt patter on the block for Toyota, so Aisin AI will work around that.
I don't think swapping current STI engine isn't great idea on FT86. Engine drop in gonna be the easiest part... wiring is different story. You gotta be running full stand-alone to run it normal.
Also I think internal upgrade w bolt-on turbo gonna be cheaper & perform better than doing full STI swap.
