sooooo this past saturday i was headed to a friend's house. was on the highway and traffic in front of me came to a stop. i stopped with it leaving about 2 feet between me and the Honda CRV in front of me. guy in a Jeep Grand Cherokee behind me did not stop, honestly don't know if he even slowed down. he slammed into me and i went right into the CRV.

so aside from a little stiffness in my neck and upper back i came out relatively unscathed. pretty amazing, says a lot about these cars to be able to keep you safe after being sandwiched between an suv and a crossover. but yea, as you can see, i took the brunt of the damage. on tuesday i unsurprisingly learned they declared it a total loss and yea.. gonna miss it.




















so all that being said i got a reasonable payout from geico for the car as well as a little extra from the guy who hit me's insurance. as much as i loved the car i don't think i wanna get it again. i wanna stay sporty but go a little more practical (4 doors, awd). so that brought me to the WRX. put a deposit down on a 2014 ice silver premium. likely gonna be moving over to the NASIOC forums, but it won't be quite the same. i'm gonna miss this place.




so i salvaged what i could from the car. gonna be posting up a FS thread, which i'll link to here. i look back and think about how much i tried to care for the car; parking far away wherever i went, frequent washes and what not and it was all just so pointless because some asshole just took it all away in seconds. another thing that sucks is that my front plate got ripped so i don't think i'll be able to transfer plates. gonna have to get the hideous yellow and black plates :/.
