My experience was no BS, my warranty on my FRS covers everything and I did pay a ton for it.

My ecu was never flashed with a tune but I did have complications using ecuflash/op2.0/RR but somehow I was able to flashed my ecu back to stock using A00C.srf image. I will never know if they did found out I was trying to flash but did not say anything about it due to my warranty/TSB.
