Well it might be because of the sudden shock towards your body for it to get up and do something. Basically it's just calories in and calories out. Weight training burns more calories than cardio, so given that and your normal cardio routine your probably at a very heavy deficit when compared to your normal calorie intake. But this is just my theory, again i don't know what your eating for sure. My only safe advice to give you is to increase protein intake. You might reduce the weight lost speed but it will be for the better. More protein = more lean mass that you will keep while shedding fat.
Keep at it, up the protein intake, lower the simple sugar intake and check back here in a week and tell me how you've done. Very interested in your progress
