Capt... There could be a variety of issues... right now it's only speculation on my part...but this is what I've done so far. Mtec springs, MTL in the tranny, diff oil changed too. I have shifter bushing and the tranny mount... there was improvement, but still not fixed. Definitely the shifting is smoother after 30 minutes of driving...so I will try pentosin next... even then...I suspect the tranny floats so much that it's causing shifting issues.

The other recommendation is to change the engine mount but I won't do that...too much headache and noise to contend with. I do notice the tranny moving via the shifter when the car is moving on uneven road... I never liked the 2 piece drive shaft...it's low cost budget nonsense.

That is why I am asking if the 1 piece driveshaft will improve shifting. It's just sad for Japanese cars to have these known issues. Had I known I would have gotten a different car or stuck with my M roadster. The car would be more enjoyable if the 2nd gear nonsense was fixed.
