Exactly.
Mazda and Nissan might be thinking "Hey, the FRS/86/BRZ is doing well. Let's green light and fast track the new RX/Silvia before we miss this boat."
Maybe Honda will take notice too and we'll get a worthy successor to the S2000, rather than a "sports car" CRZ that flops on its face.
Meanwhile, if this is doing well and the market shows that people want more, Toyota might be more interested in bringing back the Supra at a somewhat reasonable price point for its segment.
Maybe Mitsubishi will resurrect the Eclipse as a RWD platform with an updated Evo engine?! Wait, no, that's a pipe dream and will never happen.
