I think most youngins don't have the money for a new car, or if they do they choose to spend it on other stuff. My wife and I didn't buy our first new car until 3 years ago. Sienna minivan. That thing is awesome. We got it so we could haul the dogs around, but it's comfy, fits 4x8 sheets of plywood, decent mileage for what it is, and cheaper than an SUV.

I'm sure it'll be lots of fun regardless of age differences. In the end, we're all car geeks.
