I been out the sound system game for a while so I don't know the latest and greatest brands. The link you posted looks like a pretty good starter kit. As far as installation goes, I used to always try to install myself or have a friend help me but it was never as stable as when I had a reputable shop do the installation. I think your on the right track I would shop around more or even visit a couple of different shops. Here some links I found that might help. I also rely on reviews...a lot.

Holy Crap! but I don't know if I trust it. Amp might overheat easily.
