Thanks for the compliment. We have done a bunch of testing with different pipe diameters and lengths on other cars. On one of our shop STI's we actually picked up 300 RPM of spool and made a little more power on an FP RED STI when switching from 3" piping to 2" piping. If this kit was not blowthrough maf we would have done small piping to the throttlebody as well. We paid careful attention to the maf location, too. We wanted the straightest section of pipe possible, away from sources of reversion (Like the throttle plate.) This does require lengthening the maf sensor wiring, but we felt it was the best option for great drivability. We were not willing to compromise the saftey of our customers by requiring them to cut the factory crash beam. There is, however, a tiny section of the edge of the beam on the driver's side which must be bent in for proper piping fitment. This bend is totally reversible if the kit is ever removed, though. We get snow here in Colorado, so not having a windshield washer fluid reservoir is not an option, either. We also put the BOV in the fender to keep the engine bay cleaner.
