I also switched from a BRZ to an Evora after under a year of Subaru ownership.
The last time I was at the track (Hallett), I lapped a BRZ twice in fifteen minutes. I also managed to get by an Ariel Atom, MP12-4C, several Shelby Mustangs, a Z06, and an Aventador. I'm no race car driver, but I'd say the Evora is plenty capable on the track.
And afterwards, I drove the Evora 200 miles home with the cruise control, while listening to sattelite radio. It's really a beautiful compromise of a livable vehicle with tremendous feel and handling.
