I honestly think the closest competitor to the FRS on the market is the dearly departed RX8 and the Si is a close second. If Mazda didn't offer that hideous back door which made the car look longer it would've been a bit closer to the weight of the FRS by at least 100 lbs in base configuration. It would've been more smaller and agile looking with a even better P2W ratio that would've rivaled a S2000 much better with two extra back seats.
