Do I look like I have a crystal ball? Listen, BRZ/FT-86 is unique in itself, since they are
trying to re-enter niche currently occupied by 50K+ cars. Who said they will succeed globally, not just in US? There could be millions of reasons for Subie/Toyota to build this car: to revive stagnating Toyota or smart moves by Subbie (small, but ambitious. Doesn't need this car, but 'what the hell, why not - its your money, but we'll keep our know-how').
Either way, this car is important and for true car enthusiast it will never fail regardless of the production numbers. I'd say, the fewer, the better in terms of value in the future. They can easily recoupe all their R&D with only JDM sales and Japanese commitment to 'legacy', and then fail globally. It doesn't matter anyway. This car is a statement and they've achieved their goal already. Thus my post about emotional value and attachment above.
Only if bastards like Scion would not be killing this car with its crappy-cheappy motos and moves. Stupid, stupid Toyota!
