All joking aside, if I am just driving casual, I normally shift around 3000 RPM. When I get in the 'mood', I gun it to 7000 RPM and shift.
Side note: My Cobalt SS was rated for 22/30. Pretty much got ~22 MPG in the city as stated. Sometimes, I would get 24 MPG. Might have seen 30 MPG ONCE LOL. The average for this car is rated 25 MPG (manual). The fact that I get over that with city driving makes me happy
