Oh, my .....

goshem, I'm thinken you may be "grabbing" for things to worry about.

As shown by @Porsche up above, that test will help determine if your clutch disk is about wore out or your pressure plate is weak or the clutch is way out of adjustment.

If your clutch is "chattering" it will be quite apparent (it sounds like a thrashing machine).

If it is out of adjustment (one way) you won't be able to put your car in gear if the engine is running.

So, it sounds to me like your clutch is "normal". If in doubt, I suggest you go down to the dealership or to a meet up and drive another MT car ....
