Even the military blue IV's look off to me! Like the pigment of blue now is enough for me to notice. As you mentioned the cement quality seemed a bit off and that was mostly due to the shade of gray on this release compared to the '99's.
The Space Jams were very stiff, just like the XIII's. There is definitely a change in build quality and materials used. I have the '03 black/white X's which I rocked on the court until the sole started to come apart. I picked up the recent X Chicago's and to me they feel completely different.

No prob on the playoff and I haven't been on sneakernews since 06, there's too many little punk ass kids or incoherent adults on that site or flaming going on in there last time I heard.
I passed on 10's when I was younger but I picked up the chicago's as well so I don't know much about the difference between the og's and now based on comfort.
I guess the 11's changed somewhat, but it doesn't bother me. I think the most comfortable shoe to wear casually are the III's, V's, and XIII's right now from JB imo. The IX's look comfortable and probably resemble more to the 10 so they might not be as bad either but passed on all IX's too.
