Plus, the auto magazines I've been reading have both of these cars estimated at the same price. Either way, I see a lot of people who will be disappointed when price is revealed and they arrive at either dealership with a 2k-4K mark up. Just my 2cents.
There is an equipment differential between the BRZ and the FR-S. That helps with different pricing. Also, Scion's most expensive car is about $19k. at $25k, the FR-S would be a full 32% more costly. That's a lot of difference for the typical Scion buyer.

Also, you know cars like the Lexus ES350 and Toyota Camry are made on the same assembly line and are 90% the same car, right? Look at the pricing differential between those cars.

If the BRZ and FR-S are revealed to have the same base price, I'll be legitimately shocked.
