It may be 10k more, but take the STI do the tune, upgrades, and you are almost out 10k, without luxury.
STI will hurt ya back to DD it every day, Bumpy pavements = BADDD
Q50 is different, it is in the sweet spots of the two.

I've got an 05 STI and DD it all the time. Unless you swap out to stiff bushings and coilovers, it's much softer than the BRZ in stock form. The hatchbacks are very mushy and have a lot of sound deadening material. Haven't had the opportunity to drive the latest gen.
Turn off the AUTO DCCD (full rear) and launch it like you've got a pair. You'll do better than this video shows. Looks and sounds like the driver was failing at using the clutch. Hell, a 2nd gear launch would probably garner a better 0-60.
What do you need to spend 10k for? Intake, exhaust, and tune shouldn't be more than $5k. IMO, the STI is fantastic stock. If you feel you'd need to spend 10k to be happy with the STI, get a different car (or maybe spend that money on track time so you can juice the most out of the STI). SCCA events are dirt cheap. My car easily does 150+ with just a K&N short ram intake. Destroys most cars to 60 (especially in the rain), and is stupid fun in the snow. As far as luxury goes, the early STIs didn't even come with a head unit or speakers. The latest car is 'luxurious' by comparison.
You buy an STI for the fantastic AWD, upgraded engine, and on-rails handing out of the box. There are tons of cheaper drag cars out there if all you care about is straight line handling. My Diavel does 0-60 in ~2.7s with no upgrades and low tens in the quarter for nearly half the price.
