A lot of people seem to set their suspension budget at $1500, which is too bad because if you ask around enough, you can probably get KW V3s for $300 more.
My impression is that the FRS' suspension is already very capable for autox, despite apparently being "more tail happy" than the BRZ. Lowering springs would give you a slightly firmer ride for much cheaper than coilovers. You just don't have the adjustability.
But as the saying goes, "set and forget" lol
