Both cool cars, if your going to drag the thing then get a camaro. But if you want something that's easy to toss around with confidence get the fr-s. I was on the same exact boat as you. I went with an frs at the time because I was surprised that Toyota came out with another rear wheel drive sports car, and at the time I had my eyes on a used cobra, MR2, and an ae86 Toyota corrola no joke. And I also had my eyes on the new camaros, mostly because I was raised with them. so I was basically sold when I found out about the fr-s being rwd and light weight. But that was when they first came out. The car was so fun I thought I found the machine built for me... Then came the day when I felt like I needed a little more power, so I experimented on a few intakes, headers, and a full exhaust and tuned the thing. And it felt better. But I'm not really into fast 1/4 mile type of cars like I use to be, I prefer nimble light weight cars with enough speed to get me through the day. But if your into that stuff and like drag racing every weekend then by all means go for the camaro v8. But if your like me then the fr-s
