I've tried it a couple times this winter and I've figured out that because it runs off the water temperature, you have to run it properly hard and then turn off the car-> turn it back on -> then do the pedal dance. The water temperature normally doesn't get warm enough for me to do the pedal dance with standard driving this time of year
