Congrats, that's wonderful!

I in no way mean to jack your thread but I recently became acquainted with the "Damn that was fast" thing too. My first son, who is now in his terrible threes, was brought into the world by an induction that began at around 7am, and then was born around 12 hours later.. can't remember the exact time anymore. This time my wife's water broke shortly after 1am just as I was about to drift off to sleep (thanks new baby for me being awake for 48 hours straight :P), well never having done it this way and considering he was about a week and a half before his due date, we hadn't packed or anything. So we get everything ready, call her parents who drove out about an hour to watch our son, and we finally arrived at the hospital right around 4am. Baby was born at 5:15 am.

But oh man, the tiredness. The first is like "oh so it's a baby, and we can lay around and do nothing and just sleep when the baby sleeps." Not so much when you have a toddler who needs to be tended to all day... ohhh no.
