Here's the little plastic section I trimmed down. Only have to do the side you're forcing past the framing.
Also, once you're done, you'll notice a small gap between the bezel and the lights themselves. It's about 2-3mm wide. I emailed Diode Dynamics about this gap and they said it's as intended and not to worry about water getting in and shorting out the lights.
