i don't ever like buying modified cars. more often then not, you end up buying someone else's mistakes, which i never consider an improvement.

and in this day and age, i don't even trust 'professionally installed' gear-- some 'professionals' can barely read the installation manual correctly.. i've seen a lot of botched car stereo and alarm installs that were 'professionally installed', so to me, that title only means you're advertising the fact that you paid someone else to install it in lieu of doing it yourself..

also-- all car valuation places like kbb/edmunds/etc are based on the car itself, not additions to the car.. so most places you go to get the car appraised won't even consider giving you more then fair market value for car as it came from the factory...
