But Mk3 and 4 targeted the Vettes and GTRs of their time.
So which philosophy will they go with? The 86 project was a 'back to their roots', so it's possible they do that with the Supra. Stretched 86 chassis with 6 cylinder, Z competitor?

I think if it were a Z competitor Toyota would be stepping back a little too far. the MK4 was in direct competition with the GTR and i would guess is the new Supra will be competing with the GTR again.
I bet Toyota will utilize some tech from the LFA to keep cost down and land the Supra in the 70-80k range. that would put it pretty much between the Corvette and GTR/Viper in pricing. of course we are all just guessing at this point though.
