Some cars do come from the factory with higher Kelvin bulbs than 4300K. Most notably are the newer Audis, Mercedes, and BMWs that come equipped with CBIs. Then there are the LED headlights that are ~5000-6000K. Those don't put out too much light, though, compared to their HID counterparts.


Keep in mind D4S is higher kelvin than 4300K, but just how much is open for debate (some specs say a lot, some say a little). Seen the same issue on how many lumens the D4S actually puts out as well.


I've heard reports that Mercedes uses CBI's, but never seen any real proof. They're the only ones that "officially" use them, but US spec cars are likely different (CBI was originally European only and their cost was crazy because of this).
