Doubt it. Considering Nissan can't seem to make a decently powerful sports car that isn't at least 200lbs over 3k lbs these days... And... The Juke.
The Juke itself removes them from potential manufacturing competitor to Toybaru.
Now, Honda, on the other hand...
They might come out with something that could compete. It'll probably be FWD, but that just means options.
Mazda is already coming out with a new Miata that'll probably compete directly with the twins.
I just don't see Nissan actually competing here. The car will end up being a heavy pig, just like their Z series.
