ASM is a privateer (supposedly) and their widebodied S2000 ran a 57.398. Their "Street" setup just recently hit a 59.990 on street tires (Yokohama AD08R) and thus hold the NA Street tire lap record now. |
This has been the one problem I've had with the Griffon. They are putting down these great times on what appear to be full blown racing slicks. Even the non-street ASM S2000 was using street-able tires (A048, 60tw) which I imagine are a good second or 2 slower than actual slicks.
Don't get me wrong, the car is still very impressive and I'm doing what I can building my own car to follow their example, but I'd really like to see what it could do on less exotic tires.
