The ECU is constantly adapting to current conditions will adapt to 100 octane. Will you get absolutely every last horsepower? No. Will you get a noticeable gain while the 100 octane is in the tank? Absolutely.

And by constantly, I mean so quickly, that by the time you do a 2nd WOT pull, you'll already have substantially more power.
