Yes, it will fit. Your inward clearance will be almost identical to stock. (13mm further out offset, with a wheel that is 25mm wider)

Handling wise is going to rest more so on tire selection than these size differences. Taller sidewalls will diminish steering feel so perceived handling will be worse, but grip wise they will be very close. 245/50s will be 1" taller like you said, which will look "funny" to most as they will have quite a tall sidewall. I suggest you stick to 245/45s which I see tirerack has the RE-11 which is a pretty good tire. (Ran it last season in AutoX to the overall regional championship)

Why is it you went with 16s?

I went 16 to get an oldschool look. kind of a trip. these are my current summer wheel

and this is what i will put this summer

The problem with RE-11, is that in canada... it's 280$ + tx each.... and since i already have 3 other sets of rims with new tires, i don't want to spend that much... but maybe i wont have other choice..

i was kind of affraid that with beefy (if I could say beefy) tire like 245 it wouldn't fit, because it already seems pretty near fenders with my 225/40/18 on 18x8 rims that have the same offset...
