I have had three cars involved in accidents that required significant work. All I can tell you is that none of those cars were the same afterwards. They looked really good, but little issues seemed to constantly be popping up and I am very leery of any insurance company fixing a car with any significant work done (which sounds like your car). I would wait and see what they come back with, but stand your ground if they still insist that the car can be repaired. Express your concerns and threaten to get a lawyer. I bet 90%+ of people out there never say a word and just go forward with the repair.
