Back on topic... the Vortech kit does not require you to decimate your front crash beam, no. It does require you to grind down an aluminum nub on the stock alternator bracket.

It also requires you to remove your OEM washer fluid reservoir and piece together a replacement. A number of people have struggled during installation to keep the replacement from leaking.

If a simple installation is a top priority for you, check out Jackson. Their kit is ugly as sin, but that's because they require zero drilling, tapping, grinding, or replacing of OEM parts.
