Yeah I dropped the car at the shop a couple of hours ago and they're gonna try and adjust it this afternoon. They said that they thought they had gotten it in far enough last time, but that the midpipe<>axleback sleeve was, "very tight." We'll see what they can do. I brought them the old midpipe as well since the carbon buildup / scoring from the clamping should let them use the old pipe as an insertion depth reference. Cue posts full of innuendo and, "That's what she said"-s, lol.

It's fixed. Apparently you gotta use the lube if you wanna get that last inch in, lol.
Now that you've stopped laughing, wow does grease-smoke smell like shit. Since it's not an EJ motor though I won't worry too much about a touch of smoke coming out of the tips :P
