Yeah, I read on Milltek's site that the hangars should be raked forward a bit when cold... mine are all raked almost 45 degrees aft when cold. I have no idea why or how that's possible. All I can think of is that maybe the shop didn't get the midpipe fullly inserted into the axle-back portion? IDK. Man I wish I had a lift so I could get a better view and monkey with it myself.
Here's what I'm seeing when I stare under my car:
It looks to me like the pipe is tapping against the diff housing and possibly the subframe as well?
The only thing I can think of is that the midpipe isn't fully inserted into that clamped sleeve fitting there, since that would cause the whole thing to be pushed back I suppose, which would in turn cause impaired vertical clearance because the whole thing would swing up on those hangar arms.
The muffler hangars are just as out of alignment (left is aft in this picture).
