However, I must disagree with your assessment. Fuji is not discontinuing their Kei Cars SPECIFICALLY to ensure BRZ is produced in sufficient quantities.
They were simply not competitive with the other Japanese makes in that arena so they made the decision a long time ago to exit that segment. It is absolutely true that they will focus more resources on the boxer engines and their "normal" size car lineup. But, trust me, this was not some spur-of-the-moment decision made so that they could pump out a few more BRZ's thanks to high initial demand projections. This was a fully calculated business decision that took quite a long time to arrive at. It just happens to be coincidence that the news is breaking at this time.
