Yeah, his fault for not realizing his exit was right there. But he could've been following his passengers directions, who just noticed the exit. Again, his fault, but I hardly find this to be a supreme act of douchebaggery on him. So what if he hits the brakes? People hit the brakes before they turn, are they all douchebags? If he sped up and then got off, he probably wouldn't have made the exit, or gotten into a crash. As he got closer he got slower? Well yeah. He's braking isn't he? It's your job to not get closer and closer. It would've been 100% your fault if you hit him.

Sounds to me like you're making an excuse for yourself and that hitting the brakes to slow down to half speed of the flow of traffic, on the HIGHWAY, is something you condone. The fucker in the M3 could have at least threw his blinkers or hazard on to warn cars behind him. Saving a few minutes in exchange for a life or two should not even be something to think about.
