I have to say, I had to join simply b/c of Dolphin and oldschooltoys posts. You guys do understand what makes the heart and soul of an AE86.
Personally, I really hope the best for the FT-86 and that it meets our expectations. I do not ever see it being able to replace the AE86 (i dont think anything could do that) but it leaves big shoes to be filled. I find very little fault in the AE86 besides the A/C.
Toyota seems to recognize the core values that made the ae86 what it is. (This is evident by re-evaluating the target buyer to make it the same as the GT-S was intended) I'm crossing my fingers I may end up owing a decent car that is newer than 1987.....
