Are you still not in a rental car yet? Call their insurance company and demand(politely) to know why you aren't in one(if you aren't).
If they give you the runaround about a rental, ask your insurance company about using your rental insurance temporarily.
They're probably waiting until after the assessment of the damage. You should have a rental by Tuesday afternoon or you aren't kicking enough ass...though you shouldn't have to. I've always been in a rental within 24 hours of the wreck, regardless of whos fault with no pushing required by me.

In Texas you have the right to pick any shop you want for repairs, your choice entirely. You used to be required to get 3 estimates, now only one. So, you know the estimate is high because the numbers on it are...higher than the other estimates
I don't know your states requirements, but you'll be informed by their insurance company and you can verify whatever they say by calling yours.
Lastly and most importantly: if you choose your shop to do the repairs and it is not on their insurance companies list of recommended repair shops(all ins cos have deals with various local shops), then you are stuck with whatever issues that repair shop causes such as needing to bring it back because they forgot or missed something.
If you pick one of the numerous local shops they use(which might actually be one you liked anyway), and you wind up needing extra repairs, then their insurance company handles the complaint for you rather than you arguing the lack of repair.
It's not that big of an issue, but it does make it easier when you discover the shop didn't paint 12 different locations or realign a specific panel to your liking despite charging the insurance company and not doing them. It also makes getting back into another rental easier...so examine the ever-lasting shit out of the car regardless of who fixes it BEFORE you return the rental.
