I think that means you lowered it too much. I noticed it too when I lowered it more than ~2mm below the brake pedal; the clutch just felt a lot less springy and I wasn't feeling it, so I raised it to almost level with the brake pedal and now it's perfectly solid. May have something to do with the orientation of the spring for the clutch pedal.

My clutch is not lower than the breake pedal. It has same height even higher. Anyway, I'll check tomorrow.
