I think that means you lowered it too much. I noticed it too when I lowered it more than ~2mm below the brake pedal; the clutch just felt a lot less springy and I wasn't feeling it, so I raised it to almost level with the brake pedal and now it's perfectly solid. May have something to do with the orientation of the spring for the clutch pedal.
