Did you consider that the intermittent nature of the chirps may be related to gas quality/brand? It sure is in my case and I saw it mentioned a few times around this forum. Then I started paying attention to the noise level of the chirps relative to where I had filled up last. Bingo... Fill up at some Vallero/Tower cheapo station and it's a cricket fest after the engine is warmed up. Go to Chevron and quiet as can be...
