As far as I can tell, the 527 is at least 2 years older than the 535. The 535 is a 2013 design. Also 10 and 7 split spokes came in fashion again, so 5 spokes were seen as more traditional. Where the 535 is modernized is with its concavity and lip/flange spoke design.
