general altimax and blizzak ws70 are great tires. i have the ws70, HOWEVER they are simply too soft. i spin them in any gear under partial throttle, and they are ultra soft so when its dry, it feel like you're floating.
the general altimax's are the same. they are extremely soft. you cannot compare a 3500 AWD car to a light RWD car…its not the same.
next season i will be most likely getting Nokain WR-G2 or pirelli sottozero II (what i had on my sti)

Late to the game here as work has been kiling me since November plus the FR-S is away for the winter (and thus this site makes me miss the FR-S badly). I just wanted to give 2 thumbs up for the WRG2s. I had them on my 2008 Honda Fit Sport in the past. Gave that little car some great grip in the snow. When the tires on my Impreza need replaced (currently run dedicated hankook ipike snows and dunlop signature ASs the rest of the year), I plan to get the Nokian WR line. Awesome tire for what they're made for.
