Great topic and vids!
We're pretty blessed in NorCal to have a lot of great roads to drive on. My favorite back road is about 25 min away and runs for about 70 miles up and over Mt. Hamilton. So you can literally spend hours out there venturing into the middle of nowhere.

A little further away, about 40 min from me is Hwy 84 (same road that @ posted a moto video for) -- one of the smoothest and nicest drives in the Bay Area.

Very close to me, about 10 min away is Redwood Rd, always good for a short fun blast through the East Bay hills. Road condition is not as nice as the others but it's so close by, so I take this route all the time when I just need a quick fix. With some of the other roads connecting to it I can get a nice little drive in under an hour's time.
