As development had already started started for LFA II, I doubt BMW will join. And Toyota can build its own I6 based on its new Turbo I4. Toyota can make better engines than BMW, maybe BMW is better at diesel. Again, other than cost savings on platform and mass CF, BMW has nothing to bring to Toyota. BMW never really built any sportscars, except maybe the Z4 M Coupé, but it was not successful. Same for 8 Series or Z8. BMW can only build sporty cars, whereas Toyota can even build supercars, and LFA II is likely to be a hypercar, it will murder Porsche 918 Spyder on the N-Ring.
