Safety? As was mentioned before on this same post. In my case and every one of my friends/family that I have asked, the only thing that even comes close to "blinding" you are trucks because they sit higher. Certainly not my car at all. I do not feel like I am jeopardizing anyones safety on the road simply because I have solid proof that I'm not.

I see you didn't read my link at all as it's pretty easy to use a lux meter to prove your point. Instead you use anecdotal evidence, which I can use too: there's a local FR-S with an HID kit that's just as blinding as all the trucks in this area. I'd take the measurement myself but I think me following someone to were I could get the reading wouldn't be a smart move...
