I love all the civic bashing. It's a wonder what a handful of teenagers with fart can exhausts can do to a car's perception.
The fact is that the 9th gen si has a much better engine - more usable torque and MUCH more NA room to grow - full bolt ons will net you 250whp easily, and an aggressive NA build will push 300whp. Oh, and thats WITHOUT direct injection.
The SI can corner so much harder than the stock brz. I have yet to put stickier rubber on my BRZ as it's on snow tires right now, but the LSD on the SI lets you push corners hard, and the under-steer is no worse than the FRS' oversteer.
Take a BRZ and an SI civic and put an equal amount of money into each and the SI will crush the BRZ all day long.
That being said, I traded in my 2013 si coupe with 10k miles on it for a car that I could put sideways.
