The new IS are around 3700lbs (so they're quite porky too) but they can apparently outhandle the new 3 series pretty good.
The current/outgoing ISF is close to 3800lbs, so its quite fat as well. Early models tend to feel it and it suffered because of it, but with the refinement over time it now holds up pretty good against the last gen M3 (when it couldn't keep up at first).
they benchmarked the Lexus ISF CCSR race car they have for this RC-F. Although that car is stripped a bit compared to the road going ISF, I don't think its power numbers changed (416). Most rumors pegged the RC-F at 460, but 480 would be beastly.
Even with the weight penalty I think it can hold its own, based on what they've been able to do with the ISF over time, and what they're benchmarking this time around.
I like this car, its got overstylized aggression (its fairly overdone and I like that :P) and V8 power!!
Those that keep seeing an FT86 in profile.....This this has the almost standard coupe profile...the BRZ/FRS is not special in that regard. Aston Martins, Maserati's and Jaguars all have similar looking profiles.
